- To be made aware of exactly what the deficiencies are.
- To be made aware of exactly what s/he needs to do change the evaluator's assessment from unsatisfactory to satisfactory.
- To be provided with necessary and reasonable aids/assistance/time to improve.
- To be receptive

Evaluators' Rights and Responsibilities
- To observe the teacher (number of times/amount of time) in order to sufficiently assess the teacher's performance.
- To comprehensively apply the distract standards in assessing performance.
- To request of the teacher additional information as needed to adequately assess performance.
- To provide prompt and timely notice of deficiencies
- To state deficiencies in terms consistent with distract standards, using specific and objective evidence of deficiencies.
- To clearly and specifically state what the teacher needs to do to change the evaluation from unsatisfactory to satisfactory.
